Mayan Princess Port Aransas Condos

Mayan Princess Condos - Port Aransas, Texas

Located about 10 miles from Port Aransas, Texas on State Highway 361, the Mayan Princess creates a stunning silhouette against the beautiful Texas sky. The massive, wooden doors are carved with images reminiscent of the ancient Mayan culture. A curly headed 4 year old boy in awe of the lobby was heard asking his grandmother, “Does the princess live here?”

Well, as far as I know, the answer is, “No!” but be prepared to let your imagination run wild if you choose to stay at the Mayan Princess, the “Jewel of Mustang Island”. With its unique architecture and Mayan influenced decor, the Princess offers luxury condominium units with large living areas, king-sized beds and “Texas-sized” Jacuzzis in the master bedrooms. In addition, each unit has a fully equipped kitchen and a washer and dryer. Vacationers can choose from the following configurations:

  • 1 bedroom flat
  • 2 bedroom flat
  • 2 bedroom split level
  • 2 bedroom Penthouse
  • 3 bedroom Penthouse

Each ground level unit has convenient access to the pools and boardwalk through the private patio of each room. The upper level units have more of a walk to reach the pools and boardwalk but the traveler is compensated by the impressive views of the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. The Mayan Princess welcomes all vacationers and provides special offers to Winter Texans!

Amenities include:

  • Wireless internet service
  • 2 large lagoon style pools and 1 large kiddie pool
  • Hot tub
  • Pool-side Barbeque pits
  • Volleyball court
  • Horseshoe pit
  • Access to Arnold Palmer designed golf course (located in Port Aransas)
  • Boardwalk leading directly to the beach
  • Freshwater shower on the boardwalk
  • Meeting/party room
  • Children’s activities in the summer season

The short trip from Corpus Christi is a scenic drive as you cross the JFK Causeway (Park Road 22) over the Laguna Madre to Padre Island. The turn onto State Highway 361 takes you across the Packery Channel toward Mustang Island, the Mayan Princess and ultimately, Port Aransas.

The Port Aransas Ferry System also provides access to the island through Aransas Pass. It is free of charge and operates seven days a week twenty-four hours a day. During peak times such as holidays and the summer months visitors may experience a delay as the demand for the transportation service is increased.

In addition to such sun worshiping activities as swimming, surfing, kite and boogie boarding, there are a multitude of attractions in the area to provide for a fun filled, memorable vacation. Port Aransas offers a variety of shopping and dining experiences as well as charter fishing trips, dolphin watching excursions, music venues, local artists and events such as the Texas Sand Fest featuring master sand sculptors and amateurs alike. Corpus Christi, the “sparkling city by the sea”, also offers many attractions such as the USS Lexington Museum, Texas State Aquarium, Corpus Christi Science and History Museum and the Art Museum of South Texas.

Padre Island, home of the Padre Island National Seashores, provides many educational opportunities as it is home to a large variety of water and land plants and animals including some threatened or endangered species. Birding is a major attraction of the area all year round providing a home to over 350 species of migratory and resident birds. As you approach the island from Corpus Christi, you cross the Laguna Madre via the John F. Kennedy Causeway. The Laguna Madre is one of six lagoons in the WORLD which has water saltier than ocean water! Because of this it has its own special ecosystem and is considered one of the natural wonders of North America.

One satisfied customer of the Mayan Princess said, “I feel like I’m in Mexico because of the way this place looks!” Maybe it’s time to get lost in a Mayan adventure…this side of the border!
